How to... Work with Substances

SciFinder offers many tools that allow you to explore, evaluate, and review your substance answer sets. The following screen highlights those tools.

Get related information for an individual substance. |

| The reference title |
Display detailed information about that substance |
 |
Retrieve documents associated with specific characteristics of the substance |
 |
Retrieve reactions in which the substance plays a role that you specify |
 |
Retrieve information about the commercial availability of the substance |
 |
Keep or remove substances from your answer set. |

When you want to... |
 |
Retain only those substances that have been selected. All others will be removed from the answer set. |
 |
Eliminate the selected substances from the answer set. Only unselected substances will be retained in the answer set. |

Use Select All and Deselect All to help you quickly select or deselect many substances at once.

Get related information for your answer set. |

To get related information only a subset of the answers, select the substances of interest before clicking one of the above two options. If none are selected, the entire answer set will be included.

To save, print, or export only a subset of the answers, select the substances of interest before clicking one of the above three options. If none are selected, the entire answer set will be included.

Go to the Explore References page, where you can begin a new search or retrieve a saved answer set |

Go to the Explore Substances page, where you can begin a new search or retrieve a saved answer set |

Go the Explore Reactions page, where you can begin a new search or retrieve a saved answer set |
Note: Clicking any of the above four options will start a new task and your previous task may no longer be available.
