Email Notification of Keep Me Posted Results - SciFinder for Macintosh

SciFinder^® has a preference setting that allows you to receive email notification of Keep Me Posted (KMP) results.

With email notification you will know when your results are available without logging in to SciFinder, and you will be notified when your profile produces zero references. Here is an example of a KMP results message:

    From:    SciFinder KMP Processing [n085@cas.org] 
    Sent:    Saturday, August 16, 2003 11:11 PM
    To:      yourname@your-org.com
    Subject: SciFinder "Keep Me Posted" Results

    SciFinder has identified new references that satisfy the
    following profiles:

    Profile                                  Database New reference count
    ---------------------------------------- -------- -------------------
    bovine spongiform                        CAplus           4
    chocolate polymer                        CAplus           0

    These references are now available for your review using SciFinder.

    Keep Me Posted is an automated service.  PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE.

    These profiles can be deleted within the Keep Me Posted feature in SciFinder.

To set up email notification, start SciFinder and log in.

Step A: Open the Preference Editor

1. Click the Prefs button or select Edit Preferences from the Tools menu.

Step B

1. Select the KMP tab.
2. Check Notify me by email.
3. Type your email address in the Email Address box.
4. Click OK to exit the Preference Editor.
   
   
   
   
5. A message is displayed that indicates your email address is being updated.
