Searching for IP.com records

The CAplus file is the only file on STN in which you can search for records from IP.com, as well as journal and patent literature, in one place.

Technical disclosures from IP.com, a print and electronic journal, are similar to technical disclosure publications from Research Disclosure. They are defensive in nature, can be published anonymously, and are frequently used to supplement the filing of a patent application. Although they are not patents, they represent an important source of prior art that may never be published in any other source.

Technical disclosures from IP.com, retroactive to January 2001 (Vol. 1, No. 1), are available in CAplus. IP.com records are identified in the Source (SO) field as IP.com Journal. Search IP.COM/SO in CAplus to find these records.
