EMBASE enhanced with Clinical Trial Number Field
Excerpta Medica (EMBASE) has been enhanced with the Clinical Trial Number (NCT) field. The new field is searchable, displayable, printable, selectable, and sortable. The File Segment (FS) field now includes the source of the clinical trial number.
In addition, FREE is now an alias to the no-cost TRIAL display and print formats.

IFICDB/IFIPAT/IFIUDB reloaded with enhancements
The IFI Comprehensive (IFICDB), Patent (IFIPAT), and Uniterm (IFIUDB) databases have been reloaded with a number of enhancements. Several of the enhancements are related to International Patent Classification (IPC) Reform implementation in these databases.
New display fields:
- Entry Date (ED)
- Update Date (UP)
- IPC Initial (IPCI)
- IPC Reclassified (IPCR)
New search fields:
- Abstract (AB)
- Claims (CLM)
- IPC (IPC)
- IPC Action Date (IPC.ACD)
- IPC Keyword (IPC.KW)
- IPC Old (IPC.OLD)
- IPC Version (IPC.VER)
Additional enhancements:
- The IPC Tabulate (IPC.TAB) display format has been added.
- The AB field is now separately searchable.
- IPC 8 codes are now available in records back to 1950.
- Keyword-in-Context (KWIC) format is now a free format in IFICDB and IFIUDB subscriber databases.
In addition, IFICDB/IFIPAT/IFIUDB now include the IPC thesaurus. The classification and catchwords for the main headings and subheadings are based on the current IPC 8 manual. Classifications from previous IPC editions (1-7) are also included in separate thesauri. To EXPAND and SEARCH in the thesauri, enter the field code followed by the edition number, e.g., /IPC8, for the IPC 8 thesaurus.

KOREAPAT enhanced with IPC 8 features and functionality
Korean Patent Abstracts (KOREAPAT) is now IPC 8 compliant. A number of new search, display, and select fields and an IPC thesaurus have been added to the database.
The March 2006 monthly update is now available in KOREAPAT. Additional monthly updates will be completed in the coming weeks until the database is up-to-date. SDIs will be processed as the monthly updates are loaded.

MEDLINE/LMEDLINE reloaded with enhancements
MEDlars onLINE (MEDLINE/LMEDLINE) from the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) has been reloaded with a number of enhancements.
A new Clinical Trial Number (NCT) field has been added to MEDLINE:
- Clinical trial numbers formerly displayed in the Other Source (OS) field are now searchable, displayable, printable, selectable, and sortable in the NCT field.
- The File Segment (FS) field now includes the source of the clinical trial number.
Several MeSH heading terms are now included in the Document Type (DT) field of MEDLINE/LMEDLINE:

PATDPASPC enhanced with Drug Approval numbers
German Supplementary Protection Certificates for Drugs and Plant Protection Agents (PATDPASPC) has been enhanced with Drug Approval numbers. These numbers are searchable and displayable in the new SPC.DA field.

RUSSIAPAT enhanced with pre-1994 records
Russian Patent Abstracts (RUSSIAPAT) has been enhanced with over 1,400,000 records for documents from 1924-1994. The new records include patent and application information, inventor and assignee data, and International Patent Classification (IPC) codes. Titles (TI) are included in records from 1977 to the present.

TOXCENTER enhanced with reloaded MEDLINE
The MEDLINE segment of Toxicology Center (TOXCENTER) has been reloaded with a number of enhancements.
