Filtering records

The Filter by drop-down menu lets you view only records defined by the filter.  Records that do not meet the filter requirement are removed only from the current display; they remain in the Patent Queue or project.

The following criteria may be used:

• Labels
• Patent Country
• Publication Year
• Oldest Priority Year
• Assignee
• Patent Country/Kind Code
• Rating/Stars

To filter by patent country:

1. From the Filter by drop-down menu, select Patent Country.  The codes for patent countries are displayed followed by the number of records in parentheses. 
2. Select the patent country to display, e.g., EP.

 

Only EP patents are displayed.

To filter by two criteria:

If you select more than one item of associated filtering data, specify whether the items should be combined with  (OR)  or   (AND).

For example, to restrict the list of viewable records to either US or EP patents:

1. Select both US and EP by holding down the <Control> key.
2. Click the OR icon (  ).
